095 - A Late Competitor |
Well this comic certainly brings back a number of memories. Being late to the bus stop in high school at least three times per week. The US actually getting gold in the 4x100 swimming relay (only silver this time around). The flat-looking people I used to draw... hey, I didn't say these were positive memories!

No, this isn't a new comic. And no, we did not travel back in time. Perhaps you all remember when I first posted this comic... nearly two years ago?! In any case, I decided it could really use some sprucing up and added some color in Photoshop. The result is a heckuva lot better looking comic that has nothing to with our past economic situation.
The acronym is a lot messier than I thought it would be, but that doesn't really matter. And the "#3" up there isn't fake - I have two earlier comics dealing with why paper bags shouldn't have super powers, but they were drawn so poorly (in my opinion) that I want to take the time to redo them.
In case you didn't know, I hate drawing hands - hence the clever placement of the official's arms. >:D
I never saw the movie, but I know the quote and I went on Wikipedia!
The hurricane did cause some flooding by RPI and prevented me from getting my stuff out of storage. Considering the storage place was right by the Hudson, I was worried it was flooded and my stuff was ruined. Thank God that wasn't the case and I'll be getting my stuff this weekend!
In recognition of Pokemon Black and White coming out, I present to you yet another parody - CondiMon! ( I love parodies, by the way.) I'll probably talk more about the game in my side blog, Athelstan Etcetera, but for now, I'll just say that the bad guys this time around confuse me so much...
And good luck to Ash Ketchup finding all those Heinz varieties, cuz I've only seen one kind... The title conveys the sense of urgency I now feel for the bag having drawn it in a rather horrific position. But the paper shredder isn't plugged into a wall so he's okay, right? But paper bags and shredders aren't supposed to talk either... I think I worked myself up into a more suspenseful mood than anyone else would get reading this comic. >_<;
I guess I owe all of you guys an apology. College has been tough and time consuming, but not nearly enough that it made it difficult to get comics up. Rather, I've kind of been in a funk and need to get off my behind and do some work. So a big thanks to all of you who have been patient and staring at Barack Obaga for weeks, because I'm back! (See the Home page for more news.) And a high five goes out to Gerald, my twin bro, listening to my prayer to simply get a comic up and "removing the chair" I was sitting on so I'd go ahead and do it. If you've read this far, I salute you; now you get to read my thoughts on the comic! This was the first comic I drew at college, but not the first at-college-drawn-comic that I've put up on the site. An interesting take on the oldest of excuses; do you think the teacher should let him off the hook? Maybe not, because if that sandwich was any good, the dog should have eaten all of it.
Woot, Happy New Year everyone! We'll be kicking off 2011 with a pretty awesome comic. And now I'm back home and have constant access to wi-fi; so the only thing stopping me from consistently posting new comics will be my laziness!... Uh-oh.
Speaking of laziness, what are your resolutions for the new year?
Well, if you didn't get one of the jokes on this comic, there are a bunch of others! I lost track of time over Christmas and forgot to put a comic up.
Well last week turn out to be an unoffical week off for the site thanks to finals. But now we're back to getting comics up a whopping three days per week! But I have noticed that some of you taking the survey stated that you would like to see comics only twice a week.
